Day 1 - Arrive in San Antonio
Meet your tour director and fellow travelers at a reception at the Historic Menger Hotel. Enjoy the reception at 4:30 pm followed by dinner at 5:30 pm at the Cavalier Restaurant. (D)

Day 2 - City Tour and Culinary Cooking Demonstration
Join your escort and guide on a sightseeing tour of the Alamo and the city including the Buckhorn Saloon & Texas Ranger’s Museum. Today’s lunch includes a cooking demonstration featuring authentic regional Mexican cuisine. See San Fernando Cathedral and visit
this elegant, three-story Victorian home built in 1876 for German immigrant Edward Steves, the founder of the Steves Lumber Company. The landscaped grounds include a carriage house, wash house, and former servants’ quarters converted to a visitors’ center. Enjoy the rest of the evening on our own. (B, L)
Day 3 - Tour Knibbe Ranch
and Night in Old San Antonio
Travel to The Knibbe Ranch for a late morning Ranch tour, a hay wagon ride to a prehistoric Indian Dig Site, and a drive through their F1 Tiger-stripes, a specialized breed of cattle. At the Knibbe Ranch you are hosted by your San Antonio Guide, whose family actually owns this historical six generation Hill Country ranch. Enjoy a barbecue lunch and cowboy entertainment. In the early evening meet
up with your guide for the 63rd “Night in Old San Antonio”, (N.I.O.S.A.). Located in the National Historic District - more than 240 elaborately decorated food and drink booths and a dozen nonstop entertainment stages represent the diverse cultures and customs of the city in 15 heritage-themed areas. NIOSA is the largest historic preservation festival in the nation. (B, L)
Day 4 - The Battle of Flowers Parade
After breakfast at the hotel we enjoy the Battle of the Flowers parade. The Battle of Flowers Parade is the oldest event and largest parade of Fiesta® San Antonio attracting crowds of more than 350,000. It is the only parade in the United States produced entirely by women, all of whom are volunteers. These ladies, dressed on Parade day in yellow and wearing yellow hats, direct operations with the
valued assistance of the Texas Army National Guard. The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure. This evening we will take a barge to restaurant on the River walk for a farewell dinner. (B, D)
Day 5 - Depart San Antonio
After breakfast, depart on your
own today or extend your stay
and enjoy more fiesta events.
