Day 1 - San Jose
Depart home city for San Jose, Costa Rica. Meet & greet at the San José International Airport, transfer to the Crowne Plaza Corobici.

Day 2 - San Jose to Tabacon
Enjoy a breakfast buffet at the hotel before a transfer to La Paz Waterfall Gardens. You'll have plenty of time to explore the butterfly and hummingbird gardens and walk the waterfall trails. After lunch (included) in La Paz you have a transfer to Tabacon Hot Springs Resort.

Day 3 - Tabacon
After breakfast on your own this morning you have a choice of included tours to select from:

• Arenal Hike Old Lava Flow Trails - On this outing you may possibly observe the exotic inhabitants of Arenal National Park including toucans, monkeys, oropendolas, eyelash viper, boa and frogs. You will also have the opportunity to see lava paths, cross a stream and if conditions permit, you may catch a glimpse of a shower of bright volcanic rocks. (3.5 hours)

• Canopy Tour - The tour consists of a series of platforms mounted in the trees of the nearby rainforest. You move from platform to platform using high-angle equipment and techniques. There are a variety of platforms; 2 horizontal traverses (zip lines), 2 rappels and an inclined glide from the treetops to poolside. (2 hours)

• Horseback riding to Fortuna Waterfalls - This tour encompasses the perfect combination of light exercise: first a horseback ride to the reserve entrance, then a short hike to the falls followed by a refreshing dip in the crystalline waters at the foot of the waterfall. (4 hours)

• Arenal Suspended Bridges - Experience the rainforest from 3 perspectives: from the ground, from the midst of a canopy like a white-faced monkey, and high above like an eagle. Follow 3kms of hanging bridges, one of which extends 98 meters and crosses a waterfall. (4 hours)

• Caño Negro Wildlife Reserve - This visit to the Caño Negro Refuge is designed for true wildlife lovers. Iguanas, sloths, 40 bird species, caimans, turtles, alligators, bats and monkeys, greet you in their natural habitat - don't forget your camera! You will also have the opportunity to enjoy a traditional Costa Rican lunch and appreciate the tropical aquatic beauty. (9 hours incl. lunch)

• Maleku Indian Reserve - Centuries ago, The Maleku Tribe, a branch of the Chibchas, were divided into 23 different groups, but in the last hundred years, their population has decreased substantially. Today we can find only three tribes, one each at Palenque El Sol, Margarita and the bigger one: Tonjibe, whose reserves are located in Los Guatuzos lowlands. The Malekus at Palenque Tonjibe have opened their hearts and community to all visitors, thereby sharing with us a little of their culture, language and traditions. By Taking a hike with a Maleku guide through enchanting rainforest and pre- Columbian burial grounds, you'll get to learn about medicinal plants, nature from the Maleku's point of view and also visit one of their cemeteries. This hike is narrated in the Maleku language and translated into English. (Full day with lunch)

Day 4 - Tabacon / Tamarindo Beach
Transfer to the Tamarindo beach area, stopping en route for the Corobici River float rafting trip. The Corobici River is a Class I river so the trip is very easy and is more like a nature float with opportunities to view monkeys and tropical birds. Lunch is included after the float trip. Continue on to Tamarindo Beach.

Days 5 & 6 - Tamarindo Beach
Free days to enjoy the beautiful beaches of Tamarindo. The resort offers numerous outdoor activities for you to choose from: surfing, scuba diving, snorkeling, sport fishing, golf, horseback riding, ATV tour, mangrove boat tour, canopy tour, Arenal volcano tour, turtle tour, or a Rincon de la Vieja volcano tour. Or, relax and enjoy one of the pools at the resort.

Day 7 - Tamarindo Beach / Home City
Transfer to the Liberia International Airport to the Liberia International Airport for your return flight home.
