Princess Brings Back Jr. Chef@Sea

An exclusive program within the cruise industry, this hands-on cake decorating workshop is open to kids 8-12 years of age. Starting with a behind-the-scenes look at the galley, the class provides all the ingredients to be creative while introducing kids to the joys of cake decorating by the chef. Each child is presented with a special participation certificate signed by the Executive Chef, plus a signature Jr.CHEF@Sea chef's hat and apron, a commemorative photo, and a decorated cake they can be proud of. The cost is $25 and pre-registration is available onboard at the Youth Center.

Glee@Sea: Princess Pop Choir

Thanks to popular culture, TV shows such as "Glee" and "The Choir" have elevated singing choirs to a new level. On Princess, passengers can participate in their very own Glee@Sea in the formation of the Princess Pop Choir, the newest passenger singing program. Led by one of their talented Cruise Staff members, passengers regularly meet for practice vocal warm ups, to rehearse selected arrangements from our production shows and learn choreographed movements. Then, they take center stage and present a show stopping performance!

Promenade Deck Afternoon Tea Service

Afternoon tea is now also available on sea days on Promenade decks across the fleet. The time-honored tradition of white glove tea service, weather permitting, will be enjoyed by passengers on deck from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Look out for the afternoon tea trolley strolling along, filled with a selection of hot teas and coffees, as well as an assortment of scrumptious sandwiches, cakes, cookies, and warm scones.

Princess Limits Cigarette Smoking Onboard

Princess Cruises will be introducing more restrictive smoking policies, and will prohibit smoking in passenger staterooms and balconies for all voyages departing after January 15, 2012. Violations to this policy will result in a $250 fine for each occurrence, which will be charged to the passenger's stateroom account. Princess will still welcome passengers who smoke, and will continue to provide convenient smoking areas throughout each ship, including cigar lounges, a section of the nightclub and casino, and a portion of the open decks.

Princess adds new Traditional Dining seating time

A third Traditional Dining seating time is now available on most voyages. The new seating time will be in a separate dining room at either 5:15 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. depending on the voyage. The only voyages not offering the third seating will be on the small ships, or those sailing in Australia.

Traditional Dining seating times on all ships:

Grand, Golden, Star, Caribbean, Crown, Emerald, Ruby, Diamond, and Sapphire Princess®:

5:30 p.m. (new), 6:00 p.m., 8:15 p.m.

Sea (non-Australia voyages), Island, and Coral Princess®: 5:15 p.m. (new), 6:00 p.m., 8:15 p.m.

Small ships: Ocean, Pacific, and Royal Princess®:6:00 p.m., 8:15 p.m.

Australia ships: Dawn and Sun Princess®: 5:30 p.m., 7:45 p.m.

Princess reserves the right to impose a fuel supplement of up to $9 per person per day on all passengers if the NYMEX oil price exceeds $70 per barrel, even if the fare has already been paid in full. Ships of Bermudan registry.
