New Cruise Ships Sailing your way!

The end of 2009 was a show stopper with the debut of the world's largest ship, Oasis of the Seas. 2010 will be equally exciting as we welcome a queen, a sister to the Oasis and a full eclipse of a celebrity. Here are some of the new cruise ships debuting from 2010 to 2012.


Celebrity Solstice

Debut:  December 5, 2009

The largest cruise ship ever built at a cost over 1 billion dollars, debuted to exultant reviews. She offers

7-day Caribbean sailings, round trip from Ft. Lauderdale.

MSC Magnifica, MSC

Debut: March 1, 2010

Guests can soak up the sun in the solarium or choose from 3 swimming pools, including one with the ingenious ‘Magrodome’ retractable roof – perfect for winter cruising. The Magnifica sails 7-night Turkey and Croatia sailings from Venice.

Celebrity Solstice

Celebrity Eclipse, Celebrity Cruises

Debut: April 29, 2010

The third Solstice Class ship, welcoming 2,850 guests, will offer 11,14 & 16-day European Cruises until November 2010. The Eclipse features AquaClass staterooms, a freshly manicured lawn on the highest deck and verandas - 85% of all staterooms have them.

ms Nieuw Amsterdam IV, Holland America Line

Debut: July 4, 2010

This elegant newcomer's interior design pays homage to New York City's sophistication and spirit, offering 12-day Mediterranean cruises until Oct., then 7-day Caribbean sailings from Ft. Lauderdale. She is the 4th Holland America ship to carry the name Nieuw Amsterdam and a Signature Class series ship, the first of which was the ms Eurodam introduced in 2008.

Queen Elizabeth, Cunard Line

Debut: October 12, 2010

Her majesty is the second largest Cunard ship ever built and will welcome 2,092 passengers on what will no doubt be a crowning achievement. She is named after the first Queen Elizabeth which was launched in 1938 and will reflect art deco touches of that era with a variety of dancing from that time including the jitterbug and jive.

The first new ship from Disney since 1999, the Dream's larger size and innovative splashes of magic like the 765-foot-long AquaDuck water coaster and inside staterooms with virtual portholes that give an outside view make this ship a dream come true.  As on their other ships, the staterooms will have a split bathroom - perfect for families. The Dream will sail 3-, 4- and 5-night Bahamian cruises from Port Canaveral.
