NEWS from AAA Oklahoma, Jan. 11 2007 – In a breakthrough move, AAA.com has added locations and fuel prices for approximately two-thirds of the gasoline stations in the nation. AAA.com is the first online travel planning service to do this.

Locations and fuel prices for 100,000 U.S. stations, updated four times daily, are now available on AAA’s popular TripTik ® travel planner. Online users simply mouse over each location to see multiple grade fuel prices.  

“With the information available on AAA.com, finding fuel and knowing the current prices are two things a driver doesn’t have to worry about on trips across town or across the country,” said Chuck Mai, spokesman for AAA Oklahoma. “More than 2.5 million motorists will need emergency fuel delivery this year because their vehicles ran out of gas while traveling.”

AAA also provides motorists the Fuel Cost Calculator, a free online tool available at www.FuelCostCalculator.com. To obtain an estimated fuel cost report for a specific trip based on current prices, online users enter the make, model and year of their car plus the starting point and destination for their trip.
