Home AAA News & Safety AAA Offering 'Tipsy Tow' Again This Year

NEWS from AAA Oklahoma, Dec. 13 2007 – AAA’s popular Tipsy Tow service is once again being provided by AAA Oklahoma for the holidays – starting tomorrow and running through Jan. 1, 2008 – in Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Norman and Lawton.

If you feel unsafe behind the wheel after drinking at a holiday party, AAA Oklahoma will come get you and your vehicle and will give both a free, safe ride home.

“Too many times, we hear of Oklahomans getting into trouble when they attempt to drive after drinking. Over the holidays, up to 40 percent of all fatal crashes involve alcohol,” said Chuck Mai, spokesman for AAA Oklahoma. “This way, motorists and their vehicles get home in one piece.”

To access AAA’s Tipsy Tow service, call 1-800-222-4357 and ask for Tipsy Tow. The service is offered, no questions asked, to both AAA members and non-members alike. AAA will give you and your car a free ride home, within a 15-mile radius from the point of pick-up, anytime, day or night, during the 18-day period.

This is the 17th year AAA Oklahoma has offered Tipsy Tow.
