NEWS from AAA Oklahoma, May 9 2007 – This Saturday, May 12, AAA will hold its first-ever member appreciation day at the AAA Oklahoma office located at 2121 E. 15 th St. in Tulsa, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Although designed to be a day to offer thanks to AAA Oklahoma’s 320,000 members in Oklahoma, the public is also invited to attend and find out more about the auto club’s benefits and services.

“It’s going to be an exciting event,” said Rick Bickford, Vice President of Marketing, AAA Oklahoma. “Many of AAA’s ‘Show Your Card & Save’ partners will be on hand, plus we’ll have some terrific door prizes, like a Sirius Satellite Radio and Six Flags theme park tickets, along with free refreshments and complimentary gift bags for all AAA members who attend or who sign-up to join AAA this Saturday.”

Among the businesses that offer ‘Show Your Card & Save’ discounts to AAA members and who will be there May 12 are Hertz, Dell, Sirius Satellite Radio, NAPA, Target.com, AAA Prescription Savings, Choice Hotels, Best Western, Discover Oklahoma!, FTD.com, Hampton Inn, Grand Canyon Railway and FragranceNet.com. Hundreds more stores and businesses in Oklahoma and nationwide are part of the extensive members-only discount program.

AAA travel agents will also be available to answer questions and help plan vacations and AAA insurance agents will be on hand to prepare free quotes on auto, home and life insurance coverages.

The first 100 people to arrive will receive a free AAA souvenir t-shirt, along with their complimentary gift bag.

“We are pulling out all the stops,” said Bickford. “We want our members and the public to know just how much we value our members in Oklahoma. As a not-for-profit organization dedicated to making travel as easy, as affordable and as safe as possible, we feel a real desire to reward our many members for their loyalty and support.”
