Directions: Drive 2 blocks north of Memorial on May Ave., and turn
left (west) onto Quail Springs Parkway. The new center is the 2nd large building on the left. Park in front, on the north side of the building, near
the flags. Come in the central, main doors, closest to the flags.
When: Tuesday, March 23, 2010 – 10 a.m. ’til 10:30 a.m.
Who: Okla. Commerce Sec. Natalie Shirley; Greater OKC Chamber Chairman-Elect Carl Edwards; Okla. County Commissioner Ray Vaughn; Greater OKC Chamber Executive VP Robin Roberts-Krieger; Jordan Associates CEO Rhonda Hooper; longtime community leader Dave Lopez; Okla. Business Roundtable President J. Blake Wade and many others – plus, representatives of the developer of the new Operations Center, Koll Development Company, and, of course, representatives of AAA.
Why: To give members of the media a sneak peek inside this high-efficient, low-energy, employee-centric facility. Tours will be given following the ribbon cutting.
When fully staffed later this year, 825 employees will work in the building, providing more than six million AAA members in ten states with AAA membership, road service and insurance services.
The center’s architecture features elements of Koll’s successful Intellicenter program – branded, high-performance “green” structures which include under-floor air distribution and raised access flooring, acclaimed by the U.S. Green Building Council and winner of their Silver LEED certification.
