AAA’s “Tipsy Tow” Returns for the Holidays

NEWS from AAA Oklahoma, Dec. 11 – AAA Oklahoma is offering free rides home over the holidays this year – for you and your vehicle – if you feel unsafe behind the wheel after partying at holiday get-togethers.

“Tipsy Tow” is available from Dec. 19 through Jan. 1, 2009 in Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Norman and Lawton. The service is open to AAA members and non-members alike.

“AAA developed Tipsy Tow after hearing too many stories of motorists driving after drinking simply because they didn’t want to have to come back the next day for their car,” said Chuck Mai, spokesman for AAA Oklahoma. “This way, both the driver and the vehicle make it home safely.”

To access AAA’s Tipsy Tow, call (800) 222-4357 and ask for Tipsy Tow. AAA will take you home, along with up to one additional passenger and your vehicle, at no charge, no questions asked, within a 15-mile radius of the point of pickup, day or night during the 14-day period.

2008 marks the 19th year AAA has offered Tipsy Tow to Oklahoma motorists.
