AAA Celebrates Grand Opening of New OKC AAA Operations Center
NEWS from AAA Oklahoma, March 23 – AAA officials cut the ribbon today on the organization’s massive new Operations Center in northwest Oklahoma City.
The 147,000-square-foot building at 3100 Quail Springs Parkway is a joint project of six AAA clubs, including AAA Oklahoma, and serves as a primary point-of-contact for six million AAA members in ten states.
“We opened the doors of this center to the very first 125 employees late last September,” said Paula Downey, president of AAA Northern California, Nevada and Utah, one of the six partnering AAA clubs. “By the end of this year, this building will house up to 800 contact center, insurance claims and insurance underwriting employees.”
The new three-story AAA Operations Center was designed and developed by Koll Development Company and built by Timberlake Construction. The architecture features branded, high-performance green office space, incorporating under-floor air distribution and raised access flooring. The facility has won the U.S. Green Building Council’s Silver LEED certification.
Oklahoma City was chosen as the site for this new building after a nationwide search more than two years ago.
“We are really excited to be a larger part of the Oklahoma City community,” said Neal Krueger, president and CEO of AAA Oklahoma. “The lower cost of living, lack of traffic congestion, Bricktown, good schools and friendly people have all been mentioned as reasons the six AAA clubs are very happy with their decision to move here.”
