FOUR OKLAHOMA HOTELS AND TWO RESTAURANTS WIN AAA’S FOUR DIAMOND RATING FOR 2009
NEWS from AAA Oklahoma, Feb. 16 – AAA Oklahoma has announced the hotels and restaurants that have been awarded AAA’s prestigious Four Diamond Award for 2009. There are four hotels and two restaurants in Oklahoma:
- The Waterford Marriott Hotel, Oklahoma City – 13th consecutive year of achieving AAA Four Diamond status.
- The Polo Grill, Tulsa– ninth year.
- The Coach House, Oklahoma City – ninth year.
- The Renaissance Oklahoma City Hotel and Convention Center – seventh year.
- The Renaissance Tulsa Hotel and Convention Center – sixth year.
- The Skirvin Hilton Hotel, Oklahoma City – second year.
“These lodgings and restaurants are the best of the best in Oklahoma,” said Chuck
Mai, spokesman for AAA Oklahoma. “A Four Diamond rating means the property is refined and stylish with upscale enhancements, combined with a high degree of hospitality, service and attention to detail.”
AAA Four Diamond Award winners are a select group; for 2009, across the country, only 3.4 percent of the 58,000 lodgings and restaurants rated by AAA received Four Diamonds.
The Four Diamond symbol will be included in each lodging and restaurant listing in the 2009 AAA Oklahoma TourBook travel guide. AAA’s 51 million members nationwide depend on AAA TourBook travel guides to assist them with their travel-related decisions. An establishment’s diamond rating is often the deciding factor when members choose a lodging or restaurant while traveling.
AAA has included diamond ratings in its travel guide TourBooks ever since 1977 and began evaluating restaurants in 1986. Ratings are awarded based on anonymous, on-site inspections, conducted annually. AAA rates more properties than any other rating entity.
